Please read our ‘Terms and Conditions‘ carefully before making your booking as once the booking is confirmed it will be on the understanding that you have read and agreed the following:
Payments
We accept cash, bank transfer (BACS) and PayPal payments.
We require full payment on arrival day.
Cancellations
Whilst we do not charge a deposit any cancellations made within 7 days are liable for 50% of the booking. This may be reconsidered in the event of holiday cancellation due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
If you collect your pet before the agreed departure date then you will still be liable for 100% of the booking length.
Arrivals & Departures
Arrival and departure times must be made by appointment.
If you are unable to make the time agreed please let us know as there may be other arrivals/departures on the same day.
We reserve the right to refuse any pet that is showing signs of illness, injury or pregnancy that have not been previously discussed.
All rabbit owners must provide evidence of vaccination before arrival, we cannot board any rabbit that is not up to date with their vaccinations.
If you are boarding tiny pets (hamsters, gerbils, mice or rats) then please bring your pet in their cage. Only in special circumstances are we able to provide the use of our own cages.
Transporting your pet can be stressful for them so please bring a handful of your pet’s used bedding so that they feel more comfortable in their carrier and in their accommodation.
If you do not collect your pet on the arranged date without prior arrangement then you will be charged for any extra nights at £15.00 per night per pet.
If you fail to collect your pet within 5 days after the departure date without prior arrangement and if we are unable to contact you or your emergency contact, you give your consent for us to take whatever action is appropriate for your pet. By agreeing to these Terms and Conditions you agree to pay all costs incurred during this period and agree to whatever action is deemed necessary to cover these costs.
Sickness & Health
Before arrival
Should your pet’s health change before arrival please let us know as soon as possible, we reserve the right to refuse any pet that is showing signs of illness, injury or pregnancy that have not been previously discussed.
If your pet has medication for a pre-existing medical condition, please let us know so that we can determine whether or not we are able to cater for their additional requirements.
Rabbits must be vaccinated against RHD1, RHD2 and Myxomatosis, we will not accept rabbits without evidence of up-to-date vaccinations.
We require a pet information sheet to be returned before arrival for each pet that is staying with us.
During stay
In the unlikely event of your pet becoming ill while they are with us, we will contact you or your nominated emergency contact immediately.
If your pet becomes ill, we will take them to see your own vet (distance depending) or our own local vet, at the first available appointment. You will be liable for these veterinary fees.
Small animals can quickly deteriorate even after receiving medical treatment. If your pet does pass away in our care then we will contact you or your emergency contact straight away to discuss your wishes.
Fur & Feathers Small Animal Boarding accept no liability in the unlikely event that this happens. You will only be liable for boarding fees up to the date of your pet passing away and you will be liable for any veterinary fees incurred including cremation.
Fur & Feathers Small Animal Boarding accepts no responsibility for any pet’s pregnancy. All pets are housed in separate accommodation unless they are in a bonded pair or group and will never come into direct contact with other pets that are staying with us.
Security and Theft
Our premises are monitored and recorded by CCTV 24 hours a day, we are also protected by an alarm system which activates from dusk till dawn, alerting us to any activity and sending notifications to our phones.
All pets are placed back into secure lockable accommodation at night. Any outdoor/indoor play is fully supervised. Fur & Feathers Small Animal Boarding accepts no liability in the highly unlikely event of a pet being stolen.
Other information
If your bonded pets need separating due to illness, injury or fighting then we will need to provide separate accommodation, if this is required then you will be liable for any additional boarding fees.
Fur & Feathers Small Animal Boarding are released of all liability for any accident or injury to owner or persons whilst on our premises.
